GFHG Albums

Recently a number of family albums were donated to the Geelong Family History Group.  The person who owned them was not married, had no children, and no siblings with children (nieces or nephews). There were 3 albums, one framed image (frame & glass broken), and a number of loose images.

Through research of a Memorial card included in one of the albums and photographers featured, we have identified descendants of William ASH (1798-1872) and Sarah FEASEY (1799-1867) – both buried in the Leopold Cemetery.  The card was produced by the Australian Memorial Card Company of 49 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne.

The card was for Eliza Caroline WILLIAMS who died April 22, 1903, aged 43 years – dearly loved Sister of Mrs J BOWMAN, Mrs J JOHNSON and Mrs F KEANE.  (We have identified Eliza, her sister, and her relatives including parents.)

We will continue to feature different photos on this blog and would love to hear from people if they can identify anyone and how they are connected to them.
